Courchevel’s reputation as a resort catering only for Russian oligarchs and the filthy rich isn’t really borne out by the experience of working there. True, Courchevel 1850 is pretty glitzy and if you order a drink in one of the premium bars you can pay a small fortune for a demi. Celebrity watching aside scratch the surface and you will find this resort has plenty to offer the seasonal worker.
For après and nightlife the lower levels of 1650, 1550 and Le Praz all have popular, affordable bars and a regular bus service. For us the trump card is the vast and varied skiing on offer.
This resort has it all, from amazing off piste in the Creux “Fruit” bowl, and through the famous Saulire couloirs to tree lined runs down to La Tania and Le Praz.
