Lech

Lech

Voted the most Beautiful Village in Europe several times, Lech is your typical picture postcard Ski resort. However, don’t let that fool you into thinking that this is all it’s got to offer! Not only is it part of the huge Alberg Ski area (covering Zurs, Oberlech and St Anton to name a few) but it has great restaurants and bars on offer.

The skiing in Lech is fantastic for both Beginner and Advanced skiers, with a variety of different runs. For those who like a challenge there are 175miles worth of ungroomed trails which are marked ski routes on the piste map. Also for those who want to get to St Anton without using a bus, local guides can take you along some of the best off piste in Austria.

Once the lifts close Lech’s main high street is one huge après ski bar, with most bars running into each other. The Tannbergerhof is one of the most popular bars and Clubs in the resort and will be a regular place for a beer after skiing and after work.

When and if you fancy a change from skiing the resort has lots of opportunities for lots to do something different. These range from sleigh rides, curling on the ice rink, helicopter drops and paragliding. One of the most popular activities is the floodlit toboggan run to Oberlech – seriously only for those who like being out of control!

Lech is the playground of the rich and famous, but also for seasonaires who want great skiing, traditional atmosphere and some proper après ski!
