Méribel

Meribel is set in the heart of the 3 valleys with 150km of fantastic piste for skiing and snowboarding. Whether it be cruising the blues or tackling the challenging black runs, Meribel really does have something for everyone. The excellent snow park will keep the best of freestylers hooked, whilst the abundance of trees are a haven for powder hunters after a fresh snowfall. The local Meribel lift pass can be upgraded for around 23 Euros for a day, allowing you access to 600kms of piste. You can explore the wide, sunny slopes of Courchevel in one direction, or the high altitude terrain of Val Thorens in the other.

For arguably the best Après ski bar in the 3 Valleys head to the infamous Rond Point des Piste in your ski boots to listen to the daily live music. Later on there is an abundance of bars frequently hosting live bands and if that’s not enough then you can dance the night away in Dicks Tea Bar.

The resort itself is full of alpine charm, set in the tree lined valley consisting entirely of traditional chalet-style wood and stone buildings. There are plenty of facilities in resort including a bowling alley, cinema and the Olympic sports centre which houses a swimming pool, gym and an indoor climbing wall. For the past few years Meribel has also hosted an annual comedy festival.

Meribel is heavily populated by Brits and a favourite for many seasonaires.
