Val Thorens, France

Val Thorens

At 2,300m Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe. Linked to the 3 Valleys it offers more than 600km of pistes the largest linked ski area in the world.

Additional to the vast ski area there is also a fantastic snow park for practising tricks and the new ski/boarder cross course that has been made after the success of the event in the recent winter Olympics.

The height of not only the resort but also the ski area helps guarantee snow throughout the season with peaks above 3200m these provide some of the highest and longest runs in Europe.

The skiing is fantastic but is not overshadowed by the nightlife. The resort boasts the world famous Frog & Roast Beef the highest pub in Europe with traditional English food and beer, this is open till late with most people then heading onto Malaysia, the largest club in Europe situated underground in the heart of the town centre with music and dancing taking place into the early hours!

Leaving the best to last the world famous Folie Douce, the bar on the mountain that had the wildest après I have ever seen! From 2pm the speakers get turned up the DJ's and dancers start and the champagne and toffee vodka start pouring off the balconies. The resort also boasts impressive sports facilities with a gym/swimming pool/indoor basketball courts/table tennis and full schedule of fitness classes every week.

The company has a large presence in the resort and with other tour operators this creates a fantastic atmosphere with a very close knit feel.

All staff accommodation is based in the resort and close to the pistes, and everything in the resort is within walking distance.
