Frequently Asked Questions
How can I apply?
To apply for one of our positions you must complete our online application form. All applications will need a current CV attached or employment/work history completed. We will contact you by email within a week to let you know the outcome. If you have been invited to interview the website lists the interview dates which you will need to select before calling us to arrange the date.
Can I work for Esprit, Inghams and Ski Total with a work Visa?
Sadly no, all candidates need to hold an EU passport, UK national insurance number and have a UK bank account. You must also have UK residency status. For all positions in North America you must either hold a passport for the US or Canada or be in the possession of a BUNAC work visa before submitting your application.
I have made an application before which was unsuccessful, can I apply again?
Yes you can apply for the same role after 6 months of your original application.
Can I apply with a friend or partner?
Yes, please do! The application form has space to add this information. We will do our best to accommodate friends/partners but as the season draws closer there is less chance of this happening.
What if I can’t ski?
This is not a problem – many previous staff have never tried on a pair of skis before joining us. In most positions this will not go against your application and you have the chance to learn whilst working overseas.
What can I expect at the interview?
Most interviews are run as a group, so be prepared to introduce yourself. You will be expected to bring a task with you to interview and you will take part in a variety of other tasks. If interviewing for a Management position, these will take place in Fleet in Hampshire as you are required to be second interviewed.
What happens after the interview?
You can expect a phone call within a few days to let you know if you have been successful. If you are, you will have 5 working days to decide whether to accept the position offered.
When and how will I travel to the Alps?
Travel to the Alps will either be by flight or by coach, either way you are limited to 15-20 kilos of luggage (not including skis/boards).
How do I get paid?
You will be paid in pounds sterling into your UK bank account monthly.
Do I need my own travel insurance?
Medical insurance is provided for all staff members. We advise that you have personal insurance in place too and can recommend a suitable policy.
