Chalet Host (Chalet cook)

As a Chalet Host for Esprit, Inghams or Ski Total your role is to run a professional, home from home environment for your guests. Your responsibilities will include catering, housekeeping, budgeting and some basic administration, either within a single staffed chalet or as part of a team. 

As Chalet host you will be responsible for creating delicious, well planned meals to a budget for 4 – 20 guests. This involves preparing breakfast, fresh homemade afternoon tea and a four course evening meal including canapés. You will also be expected from time to time to produce lunch for children staying within Esprit Ski chalets.

Our overseas staff really make our ski holidays, so as well as the skills related to the role we look for friendly, outgoing, passionate cooks with an eye for detail and strong communication and guest service skills.

As well as the skills related to your role you will also be required to assist with other physical duties such as deliveries, snow clearing, assisting with luggage and lifting. You will be expected throughout the season to fully support the chalet and Child Care programmes in your resort.

Chalet Host - Required Qualifications and Experience

• Significant cooking experience or a catering qualification essential
• Customer facing experience and hospitality experience essential
