Lapland Chalet Host (Chalet cook)
As a Chalet Host for Santa’s Lapland your role is to run a professional, Christmassy home from home environment for your guests. Your responsibilities will include catering, housekeeping, budgeting and some basic administration, within a single staffed Santa’s Christmas Cabin.
As Chalet host you will be responsible for creating delicious, well planned meals to a budget for 8 - 10 guests. This involves preparing a freshly baked cake, substantial daily breakfast, a three course evening meal and a Festive Dinner on the guest’s last night. You will also be expected to work with the other Chalet Hosts to ensure all Santa’s Christmas Cabins are ready for our guests and maintain our high standards of service.
Our overseas staff really make our Santa’s Lapland holidays, so as well as the skills related to the role we look for friendly, outgoing, passionate cooks with an eye for detail and strong communication and guest service skills.
As well as the skills related to your role you will also be required to assist with other physical duties such as deliveries, snow clearing, assisting with luggage and lifting. You will be expected throughout the Lapland season to fully support the Santa’s Lapland programme in the beautiful resort of Saariselka. If interested, you can then go on to join our Ski Programme in January in either France, Austria, Italy or Switzerland, to work the rest of the ski season as a Chalet Host.

Chalet Host - Required Qualifications and Experience
- Significant cooking experience or a catering qualification essential
- Customer facing experience and hospitality experience essential
