I began my extensive overseas career aged 18 as a Watersports Instructor with Club Med and over the last 24 years I have completed 43 summer and winter seasons!! I have worked in some fabulous locations (to name just a few) - Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman, Maldives, Mauritius, Barbados, Bahamas, St Lucia, Haiti, Antigua, Cayman Islands, Australia, Samoa, St Kitts... and lots more... not forgetting the wonderful winter resorts in France, Italy & Switzerland. I returned back to the UK in 2015 with my final overseas position being Senior Area Manager in France. ‘Who am I’? – not the best in the mornings, 5 snooze buttons and 4 expressos are needed. Even though Courchevel & Verbier are my favourite ski resorts (don’t make him choose) I actually prefer the beach to the snow so a beach is definitely my choice when choosing to get away and could well be to Puglia, Italy which is a favourite.

What was only ever going to be 1 season, I did my first season in Courchevel, France in 1996. Fast forward 15yrs working for Crystal Ski (TUI) in both France and UK, I joined Hotelplan Ltd in 2011 as one of the group Recruitment Managers for Childcare & Front of House positions in our ever expanding programme. 'Who am I?' – most definitely a morning person with plenty of Earl Grey tea! Am at my happiest when walking outside in the country or on the beach – whether that be back at childhood home in Dorset or the white sands of the Caribbean during the winter months. My favourite holiday destinations are India and the Greek Islands. When the sun is shining and I am wearing my flip flops then I will always be smiling. I have a weird & wonderful collection of music (described by friends as eclectic) but Radio 2 is my go-to station on my daily (and often long) commute! I love a bubbly afternoon tea and everything associated with it…who doesn’t like scones & cake? Partial to a Gin & Tonic and my favourite places to enjoy these are anywhere with an amazing view. Still so many places in the world to discover and explore, am always planning my next adventure….

Having worked in the travel industry for 11 years, I have worked several winter seasons in Austria and Lapland followed by two summers in the UK Recruitment Department. Now based full time in the UK, I have the pleasure of heading to Lapland for the Christmas period working with the Lapland Team to provide the most intense and exciting program we have. Who wouldn't want to spend Christmas with the REAL Santa Claus in his native country? 'Who am I?' – I am not a morning person, I need 4 alarm clocks to get me up! I have to have a big cup of tea first thing. I have perfected my snowboarding during my time overseas and Selva val Gardena in the Italian Dolomites, which is where I would choose for my winter holiday.

I started working in the Travel Industry in 2010 after completing University, with what was intended to be one gap year. However, after working in the best job ever - as one of Santa’s Elves in Lapland I have since ended up working 7 winter seasons for Hotelplan, always returning to Lapland in various roles. I have also worked in the Ski program after Lapland starting as a Snow Ranger and then moving into the Representative role followed by the Representative Manager position. During my Ski seasons, I have worked for all of our brands in Selva, Tignes, Val D’Isere, and Les Arc. During the summer months, I have worked in a variety of seasonal jobs abroad on Cruise ships, at an American Summer camp as well as with other Tour operators. For the last two years, I have moved back to the UK working in the recruitment department throughout the year meeting lots of candidates who would like to work a season for us which I believe is one of the best things you could do. During November I return to Lapland as Resort Manager for 6 weeks of Christmas magic working alongside the Real Santa Claus. ‘Who am I?’ - I would say I am a happy & smiley person who loves all things to do with Christmas, Snow, travelling, musicals & Disney! During my winter seasons, I have learnt to Snowboard & Ski and have developed a love for snowboarding.

As a confident and excitable 18 year old, I set off for my first ski season on a whim. With the ‘I can do that’ mentality, I began my career as a Hotel Assistant in France and over the next 4 years worked to develop into a Hotel Manager based in Cervinia, Italy. After managing this hotel, (in my favourite resort!) for 3 years, I moved over to Hotelplan where, as part of an awesome and close-knit team, I further developed my passion for the season life in Italy and then in Austria. Stepping away from the day-to-day guest facing duties, I became Area Manager for our Chalet and Chalet Hotel programme where we developed the teams, battled the insane and celebrated the victories. Now, back in the North East of England, I’ve started my new life. After 12 years of being surrounded by the most amazing people, I’m excited to be out and about, in the North of England and Scotland, sourcing individuals that can create that same impact. ‘Who am I?’ - Believe it or not, I’m a home girl at heart, and wherever I’ve travelled I have made sure to make it my home. I love an early morning swim and a glass of red in the evening. My friends and family are so important to me, but I’m terrible and staying in touch! A night out with good food and great friends ticks all the boxes. And with 12 years of working away, I’m really excited to head out for my next ski holiday!

After my stint with education I figured a ski season could be a good break before starting my career. Initially I had no intention of working in the travel and tourism industry, however I fell in love with the mountains and I am still lucky enough to work in it today! I started my first season as a Snow Ranger and throughout my 9 years of working overseas have worked my way up to Childcare Area Manager. Having worked every winter for 9 years I have never actually been on a ski holiday! But maybe one day that will change! ‘Who am I?’ I am a winter guy! I Love the cold weather and absolutely love the snow. I spend most of my time at the moment discovering new music and waiting for the winters to come back around. I have travelled a lot of the world and really enjoy experiencing other cultures and trying new things. The only thing I can’t take is the heat, and everywhere seems hotter than England… I love going to the football (UTV!) and checking out live music as often as possible. Rum is absolute life, and I’m pretty confident I was a Pirate in my past life.

Having spent a couple of summer seasons working in childcare for various travel companies, I decided to try something completely new and go skiing for the first time. I worked as a Snow Ranger in Belle Plagne and my very first run down a blue slope nearly ended with a broken leg, however, the thrill and exhilaration was like nothing I had experienced before and will always leave me wanting more. I worked last winter in La Rosiere as Head Snow Ranger before moving up into the role of Resort Childcare Manager, where I progressed my skiing ability to mediocre, at best. ‘Who am I?’ – My life has been overrun by all things Portsmouth Football Club, having been a season ticket holder from an early age. So if you need to know anything about the 2008 FA Cup Final or the wonders of Fratton Park, I am your man. Outside of football I have two of the cutest baby nephews ever born, that I try to spend as much time as possible with. I hope that when they are older I will be able to take them both on their first skiing experience, where I also hope they will have better technique compared to their uncle.

After finishing my degree at Loughborough University I decided that I would take a Gap Year and combine my passion for skiing with the world of hospitality and do a ski season. Hotelplan was the first company that sprung to mind and I was fortunate enough to be offered the position of Hotel Assistant at our flagship Esprit property in Belle Plagne. I then worked on the bar for the season and thoroughly enjoyed the interaction with guests and staff alike – and obviously, the skiing was a big bonus! That one season soon turned into two, and for the Winter 17/18 season, I was in Val d’Isere as the Hotel Staff Administrator. As I have enjoyed working for the company so much I thought what better way to progress my career in an industry that I am passionate about with a company who supports its staff with their progression? This coming winter I am due to travel overseas to manage a Hotel in Alpe d’Huez which I am so excited about. I have an absolute passion for snow sports and have been lucky enough to ski since I could walk. ‘Who am I?’ – I love all things sport and have competed at a national level for Athletics and Netball. I am also a qualified spinning instructor which I lead classes for in the evenings and at the weekends. I play the piano and love music, as well as enjoying art

I started working in the travel/tourism industry in the UK and I finally took the plunge and did my first season overseas in 2010 in Courmayeur, Italy. I quickly followed this up with a summer season in Sardegna and then moved to work for Hotelplan in 2014. I have completed three winter seasons, covering the Dolomites and Val d’Aosta regions, starting off as working as a Hotel Manager and finishing off as Area Manager of our Chalet Hotels in Italy. As much as I love working overseas I love coming back to the UK and working in recruitment in the summer, interviewing all roles from kitchen assistants to snow rangers, and representatives to hotel managers. This is my fourth year in recruitment and I get immense satisfaction from building our teams from the start and giving people the opportunity of a lifetime to work in our overseas programme. “Who am I?” – I am a wanderer and a traveller at heart. Never happier than when I book a flight or waiting to board a plane at an airport. My favourite destination has got to be New Zealand, having travelled there 7 times and completed all the great walks. From a young age living in Italy, I have inter-railed around Europe, taken road trips in the USA and travelled in South America, India and Australia. Next in my travel plan is going on a charity expedition for three months. Always have a plan!

After graduating from university with a marketing degree, I decided I would rather follow my passion for winter sports by working in the ski industry. Hotelplan offered me the perfect opportunity to do this. I started in the reservations team, which gave me the chance to chat about skiing all day every day! I then took a break from office life to go and work as an instructor in Japan, which was an incredible experience and has made me want to spend more winters overseas. Came back and joined the overseas recruitment team where I get to share my passion and the joys of season life with future employees. I have been fortunate enough to have been skiing every year since I was 10 and have spent time in France, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, New Zealand and Japan and I am hoping to be back in the mountains for the coming winter and many more with Hotelplan! ‘Who am I?’ – Often described as the typical ski bum I am happiest when in the mountains. Find me on the slopes, in the park, Loop bar or hospital (yes, I have a terrible injury record)! Favourite European ski destination is Tignes. When the snow is not around, I like to bike and play golf.

My passion for travel began in 1989 at the age of 20, where I completed her first season for Airtours as a summer beach rep in Spain. Over the next 13 years, I spent time working overseas for large Tour Operators completing seasons in 22 different countries, working in various senior roles. I was fortunate to work in various European destinations and luxury destinations such as USA, South America, East Africa and The Caribbean. Having returned to the UK in 2002, I continued to work in travel as an Overseas Manager for a Cypriot company before then moving into the Hotel Industry, recruiting and training staff and managing the openings and operations of new hotels within their portfolio. In 2005 I took the decision to move back into Tour Operations, joining Inghams Travel as an Overseas Support Manager and recently moving into the position of HR Operations Manager. ‘Who am I?’ - I am a travel enthusiast, and enjoy visiting many different places (in the sun preferably) with my most visited place being Lake Garda in Italy. My love is for animals and especially my pet cat Bella, my colleagues hear daily about her (whether they want to or not!) My favourite place is the Isle of Wight, where you can kick off your shoes and walk along the beach or equally sit in the sun and enjoy a glass of wine.

I joined Hotelplan within the overseas recruitment team in July 2017, this was off the back of my 10 + years recruitment experience and my more recent experience of catering recruitment. The Tourism industry was completely new to me at that time, and to be fair still is even now! Following my six month contract an opportunity arose to work permanently within the overseas HR team, I grabbed this with both hands and haven’t looked back! Another advantage is that I only have a half hour commute to work, but that’s only if I decide to go on foot, driving is about 8 minutes, in heavy traffic! I’m loathed to admit it, but I have never actually been on a ski holiday, this is something I plan on changing very soon though, but due to my clumsy nature, I’m being encouraged to stay away from the slopes and enjoy the sport from the comfort of a bar stool! 'Who am I?' - Husband to a wonderful wife, father to two amazing girls and I might one day have some peace & quiet, in this life or the next! I also quite like the odd movie! I love good company, good food and good wine, and not a weekend goes by where we aren’t spending quality family time or being surrounded by friends and family! A quick round of golf is also quite welcome, fair weather only though!!

I have been working in the travel industry for Hotelplan for 7years now. I started 2010 working for Esprit and Ski Total before they merged with Inghams and relocated to Godalming. I have never done a season but I have been lucky enough to go and work overseas for a week here and there. I did one week in Verbier and Khutai working as a Hotel Assistant, one week in Gressoney working as a Snow Ranger and also a week in Lapland working in the office. Lapland for me was a ‘lifetime’ magical experience from meeting Santa to enjoying a lovely reindeer and husky ride. Maybe, I will change my mind and do a season in the near future, who knows! I have been on a couple of ski Holidays such as enjoying the resorts of Tignes and Val d’Isere. I would be lying if I said I was a pro skier, in fact I’m the complete opposite and I am accident prone and believe that I am better suited on a beach sipping cocktails. ‘Who am I?’ – I am very bubbly and sporty and if a day goes by where I do not go to the Gym or do a home workout, there is something seriously wrong. I love my adventures and my holidays and have my very own bucket list as I wish to travel to many different places in the world. Thailand and Iceland are the next places on my agenda.

I have completed eleven seasons, seven winter and four summers, across three different countries in a range of resorts. I was pulled towards season work due to my passion for snowboarding, workaseason was my first choice and offered a position as a Kitchen assistant during my first season. After learning lots from the chefs, I started to train how to cook and over the years worked my way up to head chef in a large hotel. ‘Who am I?’ – I’m a keen snowboarder, to the point where my summer season revolve around winter sports. Passionate about park riding and off-piste, whilst trying to get good photos as I am a keen photographer.

I was fortunate enough to have my first taste of skiing when I was 11 years old and from that point fell in love with snow sports and the mountain. After completing my university degree I decided to take a break from working in the UK and apply to work a ski season. I was given the privilege to work my first winter season in the stunning Swiss resort of Zermatt, home of the Famous Matterhorn and notorious for its great social life. It’s safe to say as soon as I arrived in resort I was hooked on working in the mountains, one season soon turned into 4 as I worked for the Hotelplan brands of Inghams (both in summer and winter) and Ski Total. Whilst working my season I managed to progress from a member of a representative team, to joint managing 5 resorts on Lake Garda. Since my final winter season, I have continued working for Hotelplan in the UK head office across their marketing team’s focusing primarily social media advertising, video creation and editing. ‘Who am I?’ – For me there are only two seasons, winter and waiting for the snow to return. I have been a skier for most of my life but have recently converted to snowboarding to try something new and also in an attempt to look cool. I still don’t look cool but I love playing around on the slopes with my board.
